Gail’s Corner

Hi. I’m Gail
Who Are You?
-Where are you coming from?
-Why do you think you might want to live here?
-How do you see yourself living here?
-What would you want?
-What would you need, or think you would need?
…With no promises from me that we won’t try to persuade you to do with less.
Who I think you are?
…Hmmm. Sounded like a good heading, but I’m sitting here and sitting here and…honestly? I haven’t a clue. I am too new at this mountain living adventure to presume to speak for you. We really need to talk!
Why we should talk?
-We need you! To live here. To tell us what you want.
-I will be your neighbor.
-I believe this is how community forms: Dialogue. Strangers coming together. Perhaps over a little wine or caffeine. Hopes shared. Visions melded. This could be like co-housing without all the community meals and endless pot washing.
And..seriously?
-I have Rick Holliday’s ear.
So, if you have even a tiny, nagging dream of living in a mountain town, owning your own piece of paradise, living more simply, living green in a closely knit community of like-minded friends and neighbors…I would love to hear from you.
Truckee Truly, Gail
Next? What is Community?

Hi Gail. . .
I would love to have an opportunity to speak with you if you are the contact for the Railyard Project. I own a home in the historic downtown area and always support the vision of a pedestrian neighborhood. I put my life on the line each time I go to get my mail. Will you call me and let me know if you and I can meet in person? 530-582-7498
Hi Susan,
Yes, I, too, am a fierce pedestrian friendly neighborhood advocate. I would love to meet in person and hear your thoughts on what you envision, especially since you have had time to really understand what works and does not work. I will call you.
-Gail
