Hi Marcy,
I think it is a terrific idea to include us in your newsletter. In fact I really appreciate it. The more people who hear about what we want to do here, the sooner we will have the community we all envision. I will give you a call. And thanks for your interest. Sincerely!

Hi Susan,
Yes, I, too, am a fierce pedestrian friendly neighborhood advocate. I would love to meet in person and hear your thoughts on what you envision, especially since you have had time to really understand what works and does not work. I will call you.

I would like to include some news about the railyard project in a small monthly newsletter I send to my clients, in Truckee and out of the area who are considering a move to Truckee. I am a realtor with Martis Valley Associates.

I have purused your website, but would like to discuss so my comments are factual and supportive. Thanks, Marcy

Hi Gail. . .

I would love to have an opportunity to speak with you if you are the contact for the Railyard Project. I own a home in the historic downtown area and always support the vision of a pedestrian neighborhood. I put my life on the line each time I go to get my mail. Will you call me and let me know if you and I can meet in person? 530-582-7498

[...] this is hard to visualize. There are various two dimensional maps to help, but a three dimensional model and a simulated “fly-through” would be great. [...]

How is this very large development going to add to the charm and history of downtown Truckee?
We are a small town and I find this modern development much too large and not in keeping with the charm and size of the existing downtown Truckee (Comerical Row). I think the Town of Truckee should be more considerate of the size of this development. It certainly will not add to the town if you have a large group of retail spaces sitting there empty.

The poster is engaging. I have one up in my office at Sierra Business Council. We have launched a blog on planning and development issues in the Sierra Nevada, and our first featured project is the Truckee Railyard, which is just a few blocks from our office on Jibboom Street. Take a look at the Truckee Railyard Blog on our website at www.sbcouncil.org and join the community dialogue about this significant project. .
